We understand that moving is an expensive undertaking and while it may be tempting to go with a cheaper option you’ve maybe found in the local paper, you have to consider why the cost is so low and exactly who you are trusting your valuable possessions to.  Anyone can buy an old truck and post an advertisement but are their trucks roadworthy and secure?  Are they members of AFRA (Australian Furniture Removalists Association)? Will these guys treat you and your belongings with respect and care?  Are their storage units secure, weatherproof and properly insured?  Unfortunately, the answer to all of these questions is often a resounding, deafening, no. Our prices are transparent, offer true value for money and match the current industry standard for the professional service they deliver.

Monday to Friday:  $172 an hour*

Saturdays:  $190 an hour*

* Base to base costs from Cromer. Includes GST.

What Does the Removalists Hourly Rate Include? 

For $172 / $190 an hour you get two friendly, hardworking, experienced and fully trained removalists, plus the right sized removals truck for the amount of belongings being transported. Which of course comes with all the requisite equipment to move your home or office both quickly and safely.

Don’t forget you will also need to factor in the cost of any packing materials, cases and so on that we supply (please see our Boxes & Packing Materials page).  There will also be the additional charge for any storage you may require (see Storage page).

Occasionally access to your property is awkward and extra manpower may be required to ensure your goods are moved correctly and that they avoid potential damage.  This is sometimes the case with steep or narrow steps or staircases leading to a property or with certain waterfront locations.  Additional men will be charged pro rata.  A breakdown will be provided in your quotation, so there are no hidden surprises and you can adjust your budget accordingly.

If you just need us for a short run, perhaps collecting an item you’ve bought from a local auction house or on ebay, we have a minimum charge of two hours during the week and three hours at weekends.

CUT COSTS BY PLANNING AHEAD

To save your time and costs it makes sense to be well prepared and get everything packed up nice and early. Why add to your stress on the day by doing everything at the last minute?  You are welcome to do all the packing yourself or you can hire someone from Removalist Sydney Northern Beaches to come along and give you a helping hand on the day before you move.  You’ll be surprised how much a bit of experience and know-how can speed things up.  Pre-packing is charged at exactly the same hourly rates as above.

Many customers also choose to bring in a second team at the end of a long tiring day, which can really help to lift everyone’s moral and free up time for you to get settled into your new home.  Again, the cost will be on a pro rata basis.

INTERSTATE PRICES

If you are planning a long-haul move anywhere along the routes between Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, our office will be pleased to furnish you with a competitive quote.  Depending on your requirements, we have ways of keeping your costs to a minimum by sharing large trucks (known as ‘backloading’).  Please see our Interstate Removals page for further information or call our office to discuss further.

BOOKING DEPOSIT

We are sure you will understand that it will be necessary for us to ask for a non-refundable deposit of $200 to confirm your booking.  Of course we appreciate that dates may change, particularly where complex removalist jobs are concerned, and we will do our best to be flexible in such cases.  But please give us as much notice as possible, so that we can reschedule our removal crews and keep all our customers happy.  However, full cancellation would result in your deposit being forfeited in most cases.
